Today is an enormously exciting day as we officially launch A Good Book Drive 2013. To make an already auspicious occasion even more auspicious, we’re elated to announce that thanks to Mayor Gregor Robertson and the City of Vancouver, November 1st has officially been proclaimed as “A Good Book Drive Day”!

This proclamation is an important step in recognizing the value of literacy and its incredible impact on communities across the globe. For now, we’ll start the mission to spread a lifelong love of reading right here in our own backyards, but we look forward to spreading this message even further.

We warmly invite you to join us in our quest to collect 3,000 books this year in support of the Frontier College Waiting Room Literacy Pilot project.

As we drive this initiative forward, we hope you continue to enjoy our wonderful donor stories and get inspired to renew your love of reading, perhaps enough to hunt down a copy of your old favourite and pass it on to a young reader who could really use it.

Thanks in advance for sticking with us and supporting this drive. We can’t wait to see how this story unfolds.
